The Editorial Board of Simulation in Healthcare (SiH) is seeking nominations for individuals wishing to serve on the Editorial Board.  Members of this board act as reviewers of manuscripts submitted to the Journal, identify additional qualified and motivated reviewers to be in the reviewer pool and advise the Editors of the Journal on matters of editorial policy. The Editorial Board meets annually at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare.

Editorial Board members receive 5 - 10 papers to review each year in their area of expertise. Board members must agree to conduct reviews and to follow the manuscripts for further reviews and rounds of revisions. Board members must agree to review over 80% of the invitations they receive from the Journal.

Qualifications for membership on the Editorial Board are: substantial experience and track record of scholarship related to simulation in healthcare, including a significant track record of publication of papers in indexed Journals (typically indexed in PubMed, but depending on one's field of scholarship, possibly in other indices such as PsychInfo, Eric, CiteSeer, INSPEC,etc.).

Qualified individuals from all disciplines, domains and all regions of the world are welcome to apply.  We particularly seek well-qualified nominees from disciplines that are underrepresented on the Editorial Board, including (but not limited to) nursing, engineering, and psychology.  However, no applicant is guaranteed a position on the Editorial Board.

Individuals may nominate themselves by sending a copy of their Curriculum Vitae, and a statement of interest in serving on the SiH Editorial Board in ONE email to Karl Durst, Managing Editor, at journal@ssih.org. Please include "Editorial Board Nomination" in the subject line.

Nominations will be reviewed and selections made by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors of SiH.  Appointments to the Editorial Board are submitted to the Board of Directors of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare for ratification.

If you have any questions about becoming a member of the Editorial Board please don't hesitate to contact David Gaba or Karl Durst
