Representing virtually every major area of simulation, SSH currently offers more than 30 Sections, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and Affinity groups in order to provide unparalleled networking and peer-group resourcing!
Free inclusion in Interest Groups is a benefit to all SSH members. Non-members are encouraged to join Affinity Groups to begin collaborating with SSH members.
Affinity Groups are comprised of both SSH members and non members with a special interest in a particular area of simulation. The purpose of the Affinity Group is to provide opportunities for individuals to advance simulation in their area of interest, to increase opportunities for participation in SSH, and to promote and advance the purposes and activities of SSH.
An Affinity Group can be formed by a member or non-member of SSH, with at least 20 SSH members supporting the formation of the group. After an Affinity Group has been active for two years it can transition to a SIG, with Board approval.
