Live or online, gain the knowledge, strategy, and confidence to pass your CHSE or CHSOS exam.
The Education Committee, and thus the CHSE Advisory Team, supports the SSH membership in developing and implementing their abilities to use simulation-based methods in healthcare education.
The CHSE Course is offered to promote professional development among simulation educators. The course is based on the same knowledge, skills and abilities that were deemed foundational for the CHSE examination and documented in the 2024 examination blueprint. This program offers best practice guidelines and practice applications so that participants may perform their own professional practice analysis. This self-analysis, once reviewed, will hopefully uncover opportunities to adjust personal practice and highlight areas that need further inquiry.
NOTE: The CHSE and CHSOS Course is NOT Test or Exam Prep and does not contain instruction on how to pass SSH Certification Exams. It is a study and review course, built on the framework of the SSH Certification Blueprints, designed to help you and identify gaps in your knowledge and application of simulation practice.
The course consists of 5 modules covering the 4 blueprint domains. During each of these modules you will interact with your facilitator and peers in scheduled synchronous online discussions. You will also complete asynchronous informational sessions on your own time.
The CHSE Course explores the CHSE Blueprint Knowledge Domains:
1. Professional Values, Capabilities & Leadership
2. Healthcare and Simulation Knowledge and Practices
3. Education Principles Applied to Simulation
4. Simulation Resources and Environments
