STATEMENT OF INTEREST
As a member of the Board of Governance, I will support the development, oversight and continuous improvement of simulation activities within the Society. I will contribute to establishing and maintaining policies, standards and procedures to promote consistency, fairness, safety and quality in all initiatives. By participating in discussions and decision making, I will help ensure that simulation initiatives align with the organization’s strategic goals as well as educational or operational priorities.
Collaboration will be a key part of my role. I will work closely with my fellow committee members, staff and Board of Directors to promote transparency, share expertise, and support ongoing improvement within the Society. I am committed to ensuring that all activities adhere to the Society’s ethical standards, policies and best practices.
In addition, I will bring a unique perspective as an advanced practice nurse supporting simulation for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. My experience working across diverse clinical environments allows me to appreciate the value of simulation in enhancing clinical competence, teamwork and patient safety. I hope to contribute insights that help strengthen simulation programs and ensure they remain relevant, inclusive and impactful for a wide range of healthcare professionals.
