SSH President's February Message: Let's Move Forward in Confidence
Hello everyone,

I hope that those of you who were able to attend IMSH this year have safely arrived home and resumed your daily life.
Hello everyone,

I hope that those of you who were able to attend IMSH this year have safely arrived home and resumed your daily life.
As we turn the corner toward the end of the year, it’s clear that our community’s energy and commitment continue to drive the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) forward in remarkable ways.
Hello everyone,
As a professional society, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing the global healthcare simulation community through shared learning, innovation, and collaboration. Our conferences are a cornerstone of this mission, providing opportunities for members from a wide range of professional disciplines, personal backgrounds, and geographic regions to come together, connect, and grow.
It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year, and submissions for IMSH 2026 have just closed! We’re thrilled to report a record number of submissions and are looking forward to another exceptional conference this January.
That's just one of many incredible happenings with SSH, and I want to make sure you're aware of them all:
Connection is defined as, “a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else” and/or the New York Times game, where players are asked to make 4 equal groups out of 16 items, identifying commonalities between the items within the groups.
Can you make connections with the terms below? Can you figure out groups of 4 linked terms and what connects them? (The answers are in the message that follows.)

Aloha! Influences for a presidential address come from many sources, and this one is no different.

SSH is making a difference working together with the wisdom and influence of many voices from its membership and many other vantage points.
It’s hard to believe that it is August already, and summer is almost over for half of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere.
