It’s incredible to think that just weeks ago, our global community came together at IMSH 2026 to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of healthcare simulation. The energy was undeniable. The momentum was powerful. And the impact continues to grow.
At IMSH 2026, SSH Accreditation proudly expanded its global footprint by formalizing three new Commission for International Simulation Accreditation (CISA) partnership agreements. CISA, a groundbreaking initiative, enables SSH to collaborate with International Affiliate Organizations (IAOs) to offer dual accreditation pathways — accelerating the advancement and standardization of healthcare simulation worldwide.
We are thrilled to recognize our continued and newest partners:
- Sociedad Mexicana de Simulación en Ciencias de la Salud (SOMESICS)
- Sociedad Chilena de Simulación Clínica y Seguridad del Paciente (SOCHISIM)
- Sociedade Brasileira de Simulação na Saúde (SOBRASSIM)
- Pediatric Simulation Training and Research Society of India (PediSTARS)
These partnerships represent more than agreements — they represent shared vision, global collaboration, and a collective commitment to excellence in healthcare simulation. We are honored to work alongside these outstanding organizations as we continue elevating standards.
And the celebration doesn’t stop there. IMSH 2026 marked a record-setting year for SSH Accreditation. We were proud to recognize:
- 31 new SSH Fully Accredited Programs
- 13 new SSH Provisionally Accredited Programs
- 21 SSH Reaccredited Programs
- 3 SSH Mid-Cycle Accreditation Programs
Each accreditation represents extraordinary dedication, rigorous effort, and a deep commitment to improving patient safety through high-quality simulation. With these additions, SSH Accreditation has now surpassed 300 accredited programs worldwide — a milestone that reflects the strength, growth, and global reach of our community.
The momentum is only accelerating. Our February application cycle brought in 45 submissions — the highest number ever received for this deadline. The message is clear: programs around the world are committed to excellence, and the future of healthcare simulation is brighter than ever. (You can start your Accreditation journey under the "Credentialing" Tab at the top of the page!)
We are energized by what we’ve accomplished — and even more excited about what lies ahead. Together, we are raising the bar, strengthening global collaboration, and shaping the future of healthcare simulation.
Sincerely,
Kristyn Gadlage
SSH Director of Accreditation
