March President's Message: SSH content a premium benefit in healthcare simulation industry

Greetings!

Hopefully, this message finds everyone having a continued positive experience through IMSH Delivers. I want to begin there with a hearty congratulations to three deserving individuals upon their being named as this year’s “Of the Year” winners.

Unveiled March 9 ahead of the Bringing Sim to Life Lecture Series during IMSH Delivers, Mindi Anderson, PhD, ARNP, CPNP-PC, CHE, CHSE-A, ANEF, FAAN; Kristine Hara, RRT, CHSOS; and Adam Cheng, MD, FRCPC, FAAP, were named Educator, Operations Specialist, and Researcher of the Year, respectively.

THE PULSE — AI, Healthcare, and Simulation’s (potential?) Role

Last week, I attended “Tech on Tap: AI in Healthcare” - a panel session hosted by the KC Tech Council in Kansas City. It was a great opportunity to hear from several Kansas City-area leaders in the healthcare space on how their organizations, including Oracle, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, and University of Kansas Health System, are approaching and implementing AI.

THE PULSE - What is the Beverlee Anderson Education Scholarship?

If you don’t, these incredibly deserving individuals were recipients of a Beverlee Anderson Education Fund Scholarship for IMSH 2023 and IMSH 2024. 

Named after the founding Executive Director of SSH, these important need-based scholarships help defray the costs of attending IMSH for simulation professionals early in their career trajectory.
