It’s hard to believe that two months have passed since IMSH 2026 in San Antonio! One of the most common questions we are asked both at IMSH and immediately following by our members is “How can I stay involved with SSH throughout the year?”

IMSH Connections is a professional development program designed to help attendees make the most of their experience at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare.

If you’ve been around the association world long enough, you know there’s a common thread among the healthiest organizations: strong member engagement. 

Joining the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) provides professionals in healthcare simulation with unparalleled opportunities for growth, collaboration, and leadership. 

For the first time ever, SSH has exceeded over 5,500 members!  

We are so thrilled to share this milestone with you and are grateful for all of the outstanding individuals in the healthcare simulation field that have worked to grow our global community of practice.

We have so many exciting opportunities available to volunteer and serve your community of global community of healthcare simulationists!

Many of our Sections, SIGs and Affinity Groups have open positions for leadership roles of these groups! These groups are member led, and focused on specific areas within simulation. In order to be eligible for one of these roles, you must be both a member of the group and a member of SSH. The groups with open positions include:

A few weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend a meeting with leaders from SSH Affiliate organizations across the globe.

And, let me tell you, it was beyond exciting!

I am excited to share that SSH is once again 5,000+ members strong! 

It’s hard to believe that another IMSH is in the books!

The incredible event turned out to be a record-breaking year. With over 4200 attendees and exhibitors, we had an amazing group of healthcare simulationists gathering in Orlando!  The excitement this year was unparalleled and amazing to have a chance to meet in person once again. From dinner and dancing at the President’s Diamond Ball, the largest Exhibit Hall in IMSH history and the impressive selection of educational content, this is an IMSH like none other!
